For more than 100 years, the University of Guelph (U of G) and the Province of Ontario have been partners in progress, working together with Ontario's agri-food industry to strengthen the province's agri-food and rural sectors.

Through the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA) - U of G Partnership Agreement, Ontario's long term investment in research, laboratory, and veterinary training programs at the U of G has delivered innovation to Ontario's agri-food industry and stimulated prosperity in Ontario's rural communities.

Ontarians reap the benefit of this investment. New knowledge and technologies from Partnership-funded research stimulate industry investment and make the sector more efficient, sustainable and competitive.  World-class laboratory programs enhance food safety, while strategic investment in the next generation of veterinarians, researchers and business and policy leaders promises a bright future for our rural communities and agri-food industry.

I invite you to browse the pages of the OMAFRA - U of G Partnership website - particularly the annual yearbooks - to learn about the Partnership's many accomplishments and its time-tested formula for future success.
